“Love Alarm” is gearing up for its highly-anticipated second season! Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, “Love Alarm” is a romance drama set in an alternate reality where people find love through an application that alerts users when someone within a 10-meter radius has feelings for them. The first season told the story of Kim Jo Jo Kim So Hyun, Hwang Sun Oh Song Kang, and Lee Hye Yeong Jung Ga Ram as they faced a world in which people can only express their love through the app. Season two begins four years later when the app has gained a new feature that provides a list of “people who you’ll like” and “people who’ll like you.” The new posters for season two depict the five main characters and their desires to know their true feelings for each other. Kim Jo Jo, who is unable to convey her feelings because of a feature that blocks others’ alarms from ringing, has the text, “I confessed for the first time,” raising questions about who she has feelings for. Lee Hye Young, who has no responses from the app, has the quote, “I don’t care even if that thing doesn’t ring,” hinting at his growing feelings for Kim Jo Jo. Hwang Sun Oh’s poster features the text, “I’ll only trust your eyes from now on,” revealing his feelings for Kim Jo Jo, who is trying to distance herself from him. The three posters preview a tense love triangle in the upcoming season. Park Gul Mi Go Min Si, who is trying to enter the Badge Club, looks surprised to hear the love alarm go off in an unexpected situation. Her quote asks, “Right now? Why? At what point?” Lee Yook Jo Kim Si Eun, who is dating Hwang Sun Oh but knows he still has feelings for Kim Jo Jo, has the quote, “I know that feeling. How do you win over that burning feeling…” Furthermore, the posters feature different wavelength forms depending on the character. Kim Jo Jo alone has a unique shape, while Hwang Sun Oh’s and Park Gul Mi’s alarms fluctuate. With Lee Hye Young’s and Lee Yook Jo’s alarms ringing out, viewers are curious to see how the five characters’ relationships will play out. The new season will continue to portray the deepening love triangle and the diverse shapes that love comes in, highlighting how the world has changed through the new alarm system. “Love Alarm” season 2 will premiere on March 12 via Netflix. In a recent interview with Sports Seoul, Kim So Hyun discussed how she overcomes her lack of real dating experience in her romantic acting and more. Based on a webtoon of the same name, Kim So Hyun’s latest drama “Love Alarm” is set in an alternate reality where people find love through an application that alerts users when someone within a 10-meter radius has feelings for them. Kim So Hyun took on the role of Kim Jo Jo, a high schooler who is stuck in a love triangle between classmates Hwang Sun Oh played by Song Kang and Lee Hye Yeong played by Jung Ga Ram that is further complicated by the Love Alarm app. Despite her young age, Kim So Hyun is a seasoned actress with 12 years of experience. However, she previously revealed that she has never dated anyone before. She commented in her recent interview, “I think I still believe being in a relationship is very difficult. I also think that filming already consumes a lot of my emotions, so I don’t really feel a strong need to have one. If I meet someone I like enough to overcome all those factors, though, I think I’d start dating.” When asked if her lack of dating experience affects her immersion in her romantic acting, Kim So Hyun stated, “Because I don’t have experience, I find scenes where the characters break up or scenes that require deep emotions to be difficult. That’s why I try hard to feel exactly what my character feels in the drama, to the extent that I begin to think I have actual feelings for my co-stars. If I pretend, I think the full romantic effect isn’t achieved, so I work hard to approach it with the utmost sincerity.” She added, “I believe it’s also important to see how others act, so I watched a lot of movies. Rather than sad melodramas, I gravitate more towards light romantic comedies.” Kim So Hyun confessed that she did feel slight regret about not dating during her school days while filming “Love Alarm.” She said, “I thought the scene in which [Jo Jo] is wearing a uniform and walking with Sun Oh through the ginkgo trees was really pretty. I felt a bit regretful as I imagined how nice it would have been to wear my uniform and go on a date like that.” About her school days, she stated, “I had no interest in the opposite sex. There were a lot of people around me who were dating, but I didn’t really have that. It’s a shame I don’t have any memorable stories.” Finally, the actress mentioned her hopes for a possible second season of “Love Alarm.” She commented, “There are a lot of people who want to see the continuation of Sun Oh and Jo Jo’s relationship. I don’t know how the story will turn out, but I think it would be nice to take the good parts from the original webtoon and put them in season two. I’d like it if the relationship between Jo Jo and Hye Yeong were fleshed out, as I enjoyed seeing them share their pain and rely on each other.” At the question of whether she would reprise her role if a second season was made, Kim So Hyun said with a laugh, “If they don’t cut me out, I really want to appear in it.” Kim So Hyun’s next role will be in the upcoming drama “Tale of Nok-Du,” which premieres September 30 and will be available on Viki with English subtitles. In"Love Alarm," Jung Ga Ram takes the role of Hye Yeong, who has to take a step back for Jo Jo (Kim So Hyun) and Sun Oh's (Song Kang) budding romance to develop, but he can't give up his feelings Jung Ga Ram from Netflix’s original series “Love Alarm” sat down for an interview to talk about his co-stars Song Kang and Kim So Hyun. Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Love Alarm” is a romance drama set in an alternate reality where people find love through an application that alerts users when someone within a 10-meter radius has feelings for them. The drama tells the story of three young men and women who face a world in which people can only express their love through the app. In “Love Alarm,” Jung Ga Ram takes the role of Hye Yeong, who has to take a step back for Jo Jo Kim So Hyun and Sun Oh’s Song Kang budding romance to develop, but he can’t give up his feelings for Jo Jo, whom he liked first. Jung Ga Ram shared his satisfaction for the drama, saying, “I was a fan of the original webtoon. I really enjoyed the webtoon, so I was curious how the drama would turn out. The CG was awesome, and the story of Jo Jo and Sun Oh was fun.” The actor was especially interested in Hye Yeong’s character when he auditioned for “Love Alarm.” He said, “I thought a lot about the character Hye Yeong while watching the webtoon. But when I played Hye Yeong, it was different. Since it was such a popular webtoon, it became a burden in a way. I talked a lot with the director, and I tried to express it just the way I felt.” Jung Ga Ram said that although the drama portrays a love triangle, he himself has never been involved in a love triangle before. Then he went into detail about the love triangle in the drama, saying, “It doesn’t feel like two guys are fighting over one girl. I thought it was not a love triangle. Rather it was just a story about people facing each other. Rather than competing, it felt like expressing and conveying each other’s feelings. It didn’t feel like the typical I’m going to have her!'” When asked if he would choose love or friendship, the actor candidly answered, “Love. I thought maybe I should choose friendship, but I’m going to pick love. I don’t know if friendship is any better.” Jung Ga Ram also talked about working with Kim So Hyun and Song Kang. About Song Kang, he said, “I talked to Song Kang a lot. Since we are in a position where we’re working together, we talked a lot about each other’s concerns. There were life stories and acting stories. We shared a lot of stories, and in the end, we ended up with Let’s work hard together!'” As for his acting senior Kim So Hyun, he said, “When Kim So Hyun was reading the script, she definitely had a mature feeling. I was able to talk about my worries in acting, and that’s how we connected. She’s usually very serious. She’s a really great actress. Song Kang and I talked a lot with Kim So Hyun.” After debuting in 2012, Jung Ga Ram is slowly gaining attention as an actor after appearing in a series of big works over the years. However, he shared that the more he acts, the more difficult it becomes. He confessed, “There was no answer. When I act with my seniors, I feel like I’m lacking a lot. I wonder, Can I act until then? When can I act as well as they do?’ I’m very grateful I’m able to be in so many projects. I think I’m slowly getting better now. I try to do my best every moment. And I keep trying to make myself better. Maybe that’s the only way I can survive. I’m so happy to work.” Thanks to his acting career, Jung Ga Ram naturally earned the label “Chungmuro’s Rising Star.” The actor commented with laughter, “I was eating with my seniors before, and they complimented me by calling me a rising star.’ Then another senior actor said, There are 30,000 rising stars in our country.’ I don’t really have any thoughts about being called a rising star.’ I just think I should work hard. I’m still in the stage of showing and proving. When I’m in my 20s, I want to appear in more diverse works.” He continued, “I don’t feel like I’ve been acknowledged yet. I’m still at the stage where I have to show myself more and prove my abilities. I’d like to do more diverse works. What will I be like in ten years? I think I’ve had a lot of good fortune to have kind friends while doing this work. So I want to be warm to people around me. I would rather be a mediocre person with warmth than a special person without it.” Source 1 Top Photo Credit Xportsnews How does this article make you feel?
